Councillor Peter Cumming has announced his retirement from the Wynnum Manly Ward.
After almost 30 years of dedicated service to the community, Councillor Peter Cumming has announced his retirement from the Wynnum Manly Ward. His departure marks the end of an era in local politics, and the Bayside will miss his leadership and tireless efforts to improve the area. Throughout his time in office, Cr Cumming has been a devoted advocate for the people of Wynnum Manly. He has worked tirelessly to address the concerns and needs of Baysiders, from improving local infrastructure to enhancing public services and facilities. Cr Cumming's accomplishments during his tenure are many. He played a key role in securing funding for the redevelopment of the Wynnum waterfront, which has become a hub of community activity and an attraction for visitors. He also spearheaded efforts to improve the area's transportation system, including upgrades to local roads and the introduction of new bus routes. Beyond his achievements in infrastructure and transportation, Cr Cumming was also a strong supporter of local businesses. He recognised the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises to the Bayside's economic viability and championed initiatives that promoted their growth and success. Throughout his tenure, Cr Cumming has demonstrated a deep commitment to his constituents and a passion for making a difference in the community. I wish Cr Cumming all the best in his future endeavors.
