The electorate of Lytton spans across many suburbs of Brisbane's bayside. The district is based in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane, to the south of the Brisbane River. It is named after the suburb of Lytton and also includes the suburbs of Hemmant, Lota, Manly and Wynnum, as well as the Port of Brisbane.

The area is home to many community and volunteering groups which enhance the local Bayside community. The district also contains numerous thriving small businesses located in both Wynnum and Manly. The large amount of community events demonstrates the sense of 'community' within the Bayside.
